Membership

Application for membership in TCIAA can be made by filling out the application linked below! 

Upon membership approval by the TCIAA Membership Coordinator, an invoice for membership dues will be sent to the applicant via email. Membership will commence upon receipt of funds. Dues can also be paid through the TCIAA website.

TCIAA has several individual membership classes:

Full – $35.00 (USD)
Associate/Student – $20.00 (USD)

Dual membership with the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) – $50.00 (USD)

*Please note that membership with the IACA is not an instant process; it requires confirmation of member information and payment, followed by activation of membership. IACA membership is a separate process aside from your application to TCIAA. You will receive a welcome email containing your IACA website username and password when this process is complete.

Membership is renewable annualIy.

ELIGIBILITY

Full Membership is given to professionals (sworn, non‐sworn, or civilians) employed by any law enforcement or criminal justice entity. Such members will have voting authority. Full Members will be required to pay full membership dues. Such status will be approved  by the Membership Committee or the Membership Coordinator. Further, membership to TCIAA is not limited to only Tennessee law enforcement agencies. 

Associate/Student Membership is available to individuals closely associated  with criminal justice, criminology, police science, or related programs at colleges or universities; or other professionals and/or persons who deal with or are involved with the law enforcement community. Such members will not have voting authority or be eligible to hold elected office. Associates will be required to pay Associate Membership dues. Associate members may not be permitted to attend certain law enforcement sensitive training events, which will be determined by the board or individual providing the training on an ad hoc basis.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

New TCIAA members will receive a certificate of membership. They will also receive access to the TCIAA member’s only portal, which includes a Members Directory, training opportunities, and other publications and resources.

TCIAA members will receive publications, training and networking opportunities, et cetera via email and the member portal. Training seminars are held online, as well as at the local and regional levels.

TCIAA holds Board Meetings twice a year, at various locations. Members are welcome to attend. In addition, TCIAA will hold regional intelligence sharing meetings on a regular basis.
